Kendra (Hospital)
Aarohi has worked at providing basic curative and
emergency services to some 50 neighbouring villages
where no such service exists even today. The Arogya
Kendra, a simple yet modern hospital provides X-Ray,
emergency and referral services. Today the Arogya
Kendra is equipped with an Operation Theatre (OT)
having Anaesthesia machine and allied apparatus, and
ten bedded ward cum training centre.
The hospital is run by a qualified Anaesthesiologist
and a paramedical team who have been trained on
the job. The facility services over 2000 patients
every year of which, many are emergencies who would
have lost their lives had this basic facility not
existed. This simple yet reliable hospital has given
us the credibility to gently bring about social
change in areas related to practices that adversely
affect the health of women and children.
